Mike Trout continues to astonish and amaze, even at the age of 24. He is a five-tool player who comes along once in a generation. It should come as no surprise that entering the 2016 season, Trout is not only the best RF, but could possibly be the best player in MLB (besides maybe Bryce Harper). Trout demonstrates the natural ability that most could only dream of, not only on the field, but in the batter’s box. If you need proof of why Trout is the best CF to begin the 2016, here is a list of the obvious.
5. Silver Slugger

Trout continues to show he is one of the most dominant hitters of his time, already having won the Silver Slugger Award every year he has been a full-time player, from 2012 to 2015. That trend doesn’t look to end anytime soon either.
4. Runs

Trout is a runs machine! Sure, having someone like Albert Pujols in the lineup next to you can’t hurt, but Trout has led the league in runs in 2012, 2013 and 2014, while coming at No. 3 for 2015. In his five-year career, he already has 477 runs.

Age is Trout’s best friend, as he is supposed to continue to get better into his peak years. He won the AL Rookie of the Year Award in 2012, becoming the youngest recipient of the award at age 20. At only 24 years old, his best years are still ahead.
2. WAR

For those sabermetrics fans, Trout has led the league in WAR for every full season he has been in MLB, from 2012 to 2015. If he continues at his current pace and plays until he is 39 years old, he will break Babe Ruth’s WAR record of 183.6.

Even though he has only one the AL MVP Award once, he came in second in 2012, 2013 and 2015. It took Miguel Cabrera hitting for the Triple Crown in 2012 to best Trout for MVP. He has also won the All-Star Game MVP the last two years.
