After an offseason full of headline-grabbing moves, it’s time for the Arizona Diamondbacks to turn those offseason acquisitions into wins. Of course, like most teams, the Diamondbacks have plenty of questions to answer heading into opening day. Here are five questions Arizona faces at the start of the 2016 season.
5. Will The Power Come For Yasmany Tomas?

The Diamondbacks thought they were getting a power hitter in Tomas, but he managed just nine home runs in his rookie season last year, forcing Arizona to rethink if he'll become the power hitter he was promised to be. Tomas swung a good bat during the spring, but didn't homer. He should get more at-bats this year, but it's uncertain if that will lead to more home runs.

4. Can Jean Segura Regain His Old Form?

The Diamondbacks hope that a change of scenery is all Segura needs to get back to the player he was in 2013 after back-to-back seasons with lackluster production. Arizona traded for him to give their middle infield an offensive boost, but whether that will pan out is up in the air despite a great spring from the shortstop.

3. Who's The Best Option At Third Base?

Jake Lamb figures to start the season at third base for the Diamondbacks, but he may not be their best option in the long run if he doesn't get off to a fast start. Phil Gosselin may deserve a shot to play regularly at some point, and prospect Brandon Drury could also provide a lift offensively if he gets a chance to man third base.

2. Can The Bullpen Hold Up?

Arizona did a great job this offseason of upgrading the rotation, but there are still questions about whether the bullpen can shut the door and secure wins late in games. Brad Ziegler was brilliant last year, but he's no spring chicken and has to prove he can still be a dominant closer. Signing Tyler Clippard should help, but he struggled late last season and has not been particularly sharp this spring.

1. Who Hits Leadoff?

In order to upgrade their rotation, the Diamondbacks traded away Ender Inciarte, meaning they need a new leadoff hitter. A.J. Pollock may be the best option, but it'd also be great if Arizona could keep him in the No. 2 spot. Segura is another option, but not before he proves himself, so who ends up the team's leadoff hitter is still up in the air on opening day.
