5. David Wright - Comeback Player of the Year

Wright missed four months of last season due to a chronic back condition that he'll hope to play through this season. Even though he made it back for the postseason, if Wright can avoid the DL this season and produce to the level he's capable of, it'd be a great story for the Mets captain to win Comeback Player of the Year in 2016.

4. Terry Collins - Manager of the Year

Despite shocking the baseball world by leading the Mets to the National League pennant, Collins was passed over for Manager of the Year last season in favor of Joe Maddon. But if Collins can take the Mets back to the postseason and subsequently the World Series in 2016, there's no reason he should be denied that honor this year.

3. Steven Matz - Rookie of the Year

Despite making nine starts last year, including three in the postseason, Matz has rookie eligibility in 2016, making him one of the front-runners for the award heading into the season. It will be tough for Matz to standout among the Mets' other starters, but he showed last year that he has the stuff to be a top-of-the-rotation starter. It would shock no one if he's the top rookie in the National League this year.

2. Yoenis Cespedes - MVP

Cespedes got some consideration for the NL MVP last year despite only spending two months with the Mets. There's no denying that he's one of the most talented players in the game, and after coming so close last year, he'll certainly be motivated to help the Mets return to the World Series in 2016. If he performs anywhere near the level he did in New York last season, Cespedes will be an MVP candidate in 2016.

1. Noah Syndergaard - Cy Young

Technically, half of the Mets' pitching staff could be Cy Young contenders, most notably Matt Harvey and Jacob deGrom, but Syndergaard may be the team's top candidate. His development over the course of last year was astounding, and he may actually have better stuff than both Harvey and deGrom. The sky is the limit for Syndergaard, and he's definitely a potential Cy Young candidate in 2016.
