Coming into the season, many MLB experts picked the San Francisco Giants to win the NL West because of their impressive starting rotation. While the Giants' pitching is undoubtedly elite, their hitters are more than capable of carrying the team as well. In San Francisco's opener on Monday, Denard Span, Joe Panik and Buster Posey homered consecutively, and the Giants went on to defeat Milwaukee 12-3.
Although it is still incredibly early in the season, signing Jarrod Saltalamacchia is already looking like a big-time win for the Detroit Tigers.
It's inevitable that the Texas Rangers will need to trade Ian Desmond at some point in 2016.

What a guy, that Francisco Lindor. You know when Bryce Harper was talking about making baseball fun again? This is probably what he's talking about.
Maikel Franco is picking up in the regular season where he left off in Spring Training, and it means he could be headed to the All-Star game.
New York Mets outfielder Yoenis Cespedes recklessly went after a foul ball against the Miami Marlins on Wednesday, and ended up nearly injuring himself and every fan he came in contact with in the stands. I get it: Cespedes is often criticized for not hustling enough. However, he must be more careful in the future.
