As Adam Wainwright‘s 84 MPH off-speed pitch narrowed in on home plate Monday night, a bird narrowly avoided peril.

A close call for sure, which brings back memories of Randy Johnson vs. a bird during spring training in 2001. That time, the bird wasn’t so lucky.
