First, he was hit in the elbow by a Jake Arrieta pitch to get on base. Next, he was hit by Cubs catcher Wilson Contreras as he took second base thanks to an Arrieta wild pitch.
Finally, Piscotty got hit in the head by Javier Baez‘s throw while sliding into home, which resulted in a contusion and knocked him out of action.
INJURY UPDATE: Stephen Piscotty was removed from tonight's game with a head contusion. He will be reevaluated tomorrow morning.
