Daniel Murphy Blasts Grand Slam vs. New York Mets, Booed for Domination of Former Team

The equation is pretty simple – if you leave your former MLB team and find success with a divisional rival you will be booed, plain and simple.

And since leaving the New York Mets, Washington Nationals second baseman Daniel Murphy has absolutely owned his former team and continued the domination on Sunday.

This grand slam earned Murphy a chorus of boos as he rounded the bases and gave the Nats the win.

With eight homers and 25 RBIs against his former club in just 22 games, perhaps the animosity from Mets fans is warranted.

The once key member of the Metropolitans is now a bona fide Met-killer.
