Evan Longoria Thrown Out By Manny Machado After Wacky Bounce from Foul to Fair

Slow rollers down the line in MLB are generally more agonizing for fielders than the hitters themselves, but on this occasion, the baseball outsmarted Tampa Bay Rays slugger Evan Longoria but good.

A huge hop from foul to fair put the ball in Baltimore Orioles third baseman Manny Machado‘s glove in fair territory and allowed him to throw Longoria out as a result.

Man, that’s rough.

Just when you are resigned to taking another hack at the plate while leisurely waltzing to first base, you find out that the ball ended up bouncing fair and you’re out.
