The Cincinnati Reds are surprisingly playing halfway decent baseball (21-23) for a team that’s in the early stages of a grueling rebuild.
However, some Reds fans remain unimpressed.
On Monday, a heckling fan sitting behind home plate told Reds star Joey Votto, “I remember when you used to be good.”
Instead of ignoring the foolish comment, Votto savagely fired back.
“I remember when you used to be thin,” Votto replied.
Votto continued:
You know the difference is? Right now, this guy is filming this. I got something to lose and you guys don’t even have a life, so you got nothing to lose at all.
Very few players have been as consistently stellar as Votto through the years, as evidenced by his career stat line below.
And he’s currently hitting .293 with 12 HR and 38 RBI this season. Thus, that fan was out of his mind, and deserves no sympathy…
