Oftentimes a triple play in MLB can occur due to a lucky bounce or base-running error, but not for Miguel Sano and the Minnesota Twins on Thursday night.
A hard hit ball down the third base line was snagged and the bag touched before the ball was relayed around the horn to Brian Dozier and Joe Mauer to record three outs on one play.
Outs are better in threes. @Twins go around the horn for the TRIPLE PLAY.
Now that was textbook.
The Twins would go on to a 4-2 win to maintain a slim lead in the AL Central division.
