The Chicago Cubs have been anything but dominant thus far in 2017, and currently hold a 27-27 record.
It’s difficult to criticize Joe Maddon‘s bunch considering they won the World Series just eight or so months ago, but slugger Kyle Schwarber has received a ton of backlash for his lackluster (.163, 9 HR, 19 RBI) start.
After being moved to ninth in the Cubs’ batting order (Maddon oftentimes hits his pitcher eighth), Schwarber responded with a clutch grand slam to give Chicago a 5-3 lead over the St. Louis Cardinals that the Wrigley Field faithful wouldn’t see relinquished.
