The game between the Washington Nationals and San Francisco Giants on Saturday started three hours late due to rain.
When the game finally got going, there was still drizzle falling from the sky which made the bases slick.
While trying to beat out an infield single in the top of the first inning, Bryce Harper slid on first base and landed awkwardly on his left leg.
Harper had to be carried off after not being able to put any weight on the leg.
