Kurt Angle says Brock Lesnar benches over 600 pounds and squats over 1000 pounds

At a premiere of the film Warrior, Kurt Angle (playing a fictional version of Fedor Emelianenko) was asked about Brock Lesnar’s upcoming fight against Alistair Overeem. Angle and Lesnar were rumoured to have legit wrestled backstage when they were both in WWE, and they put on some great pro wrestling matches. Angle told whoever is listening to never count Brock out of a fight, and that Brock bench presses more than 600 pounds and squats more than 1000 pounds.
Guess this is going to reignite the functional strength craze that started when Anderson Silva started tearing through the UFC. Also, considering that Pudzian squats ~800 pounds, it looks like Angle is up to his old tricks.

In 2000 Sports Illustrated stated about Brock Lesnar that “He can deadlift 720 pounds, squat 695 and bench-press 475…” 11 years of work later I’d say there is a very good chance he can bench over 600 and probably squat pretty close to 1000 lbs.
It sure didn’t matter what Lesnar could squat when he got his face pounded in by Cain. It won’t matter when he fights that Overeem dude either. Brock was good, but now the cream is rising to the top.
You are just another of the people who hate on Brock Lesnar 24/7 so if he does actually win I bet you will say that it was a fluke wouldn’t you?
Of course, it’s also well known that Kurt Angle is nothing more than a drunken liar these days, so I highly doubt this is true.
Now, now, just cause all the roids went straight to Angle’s brain, er little head doesn’t mean the big one can’t think straight. And so what if Lesnar can do that…it’s not as if he never supplemented in his life.
