The UFC has a large range of entertainers across many different departments. Be it showboating, trash talking or purely based on their fighting, here is a list of the top-10 entertainers in the UFC today.
Anthony Pettis has the most unique arsenal in both the UFC and the world of mixed martial arts. Head kicks, cart wheel kicks, flying knees and more -- when Pettis strings together his combinations with his creativity, you're sure to see knockouts, submissions and be thoroughly entertained.
Nate Diaz is a trash talker with the MMA ability to back it up inside the octagon. He calls out and belittles opponent. In doing so, he creates more viewers. Along with running his mouth, he has unbelievable stamina and pushes his opponents to the brink. Diaz never has a boring fight.
Anderson Silva showboats whenever he can. He keeps his hands down low and slips punches and kicks with the swiftest head movement. Silva holds the longest reign as a UFC champion and when defending his belt, he always looked for the finish. He holds the most knockout-of-the-night awards in the UFC with seven. A courageous defense and wildly accurate strike, Silva always has you on the edge of your seat.
Donald Cerrone finishes opponents. His fighting style makes him one of the UFC's top entertainers. Within the last year, Cerrone has fought five times, including two submission victories and two knockout victories beginning with head kicks. His laid back approach and cool demeanor makes him a very hard character to read. His coolness mixed with his fighting style create an extremely entertaining fighter.
Michael Bisping is a man who is very confident in his own ability. His kickboxing is second-to-none and his foot movement is precise. However, he also falls under the category of a trash talker. Bisping lets his opponents know that they're not good enough and they don't belong in the cage with him. He finds opponents faults and lets the world know. His stare downs and press conferences will, without a doubt, leave you excited.
The current UFC light heavyweight champion is one of the best mixed martial artists ever. He has knockout power, and an outstanding ground game. Jones executes a game plan better than any opponent and he's also gifted with a great MMA intelligence. He easily winds opponents up outside the octagon and picks them apart inside the octagon. His personality will leave you either loving him or hating him, but Jones will never be short of entertaining.
Joe Lauzon also holds the nickname 'The Human Bonus Machine,' simply because he's the UFC's all-time leader in post-fight bonuses with an astonishing 13. These bonuses include one knockout of the night, six submissions of the night and six fights of the night. His stats speak for themselves -- Joe Lauzon is never in a boring bout and his desire to always gain these bonuses will no doubt always be entertaining.
Nick Diaz is the most feared trash talker in the UFC and MMA in general. You do not want to get into a war of words with Diaz. He will verbally manipulate and pick you apart happily. However, he also possesses a fighting style where he's always moving forward. Diaz aims to throw an extremely large volume of punches instead of trying to land the one huge knockout blow. He also has a very strong submission game.
Diego Sanchez loves the fans and he loves the UFC. Sanchez will never shy away from a brawl. His entertainment is evident in the fact he is tied for the all-time lead in UFC's fight of the night awards with seven; and more notably, he has been involved in more fights of the year than any other mixed martial artists in the world with three. No matter who he's fighting, you will always find yourself cheering for Sanchez.
'The Notorious' one defines entertainment. McGregor talks the talk and evidently he confidently can walk the walk. He happily trash talks and doesn't mind calling any opponent out. His unique, creative fighting style transfuses well with his rare personality. Love him or hate him, you will always want to watch him. He is currently taking the UFC and the MMA world by storm. Conor McGregor is the UFC's biggest entertainer today.
