As it stands BJ Penn’s return to MMA will be delayed a little longer. The former UFC champion was scheduled to come out of retirement and fight at UFC 197 in April but today the UFC released a statement concerning that return. It all stems from an assault charge Penn received last year.

Ronda Rousey says she was so distraught after losing to Holly Holm at UFC 193 that she thought about taking her own life. The former UFC Women’s Bantamweight champion was the victim of heavy criticism following her knockout loss to Holm which marked the first defeat in her career. During an interview with Ellen DeGeneres the 29-year-old admitted that she reached an all-time low after the brutal defeat that left her unconscious and saw her hospitalized.

In 2015 Ronda Rousey became the first MMA fighter to appear in the annual Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue. This year Rousey will take things one step further as she becomes the first MMA fighter to appear on the cover of that issue of the magazine and wearing nothing but body paint!
