Prior to Saturday’s UFC 196 main event Conor McGregor predicted that he would defeat his opponent Nate Diaz via knockout before the end of Round 1. That prediction did not come to fruition but it wasn’t due to lack of trying. McGregor in defeat was humble though. “It’s a bitter pill to swallow" McGregor said in the post-fight press conference. "I took a shot. I went at it. I feel that I was simply inefficient with my energy. Usually I fight a man in the division I am champion in and they crumble under those shots but Nate took them very well. “This is the game” McGregor continued. “We win some; we lose some. I will never shy away from a challenge. I will never shy away from defeat. This is part of the game.”
The huge rematch between Daniel Cormier and Jon Jones at UFC 197 will not happen due to an injury suffered by Cormier.
Jon Jones is back in the gym after spending some time in jail for probation violations. Jones’ probation violation arrest came after he was cited for multiple traffic violations last week in Albuquerque. On Thursday Jones entered a guilty plea for those violations. As a result of the plea Judge Michael Martinez ruled that Jones cannot drive without the approval of his probation officer and that he has to take both driver improvement and anger management courses. Jones also has to perform 60 hours of community service.

UFC star Jon 'Bones' Jones was recently pulled over in Albuquerque, NM and subsequently given a number of tickets for drag racing, among other infractions. Albuquerque police released bodycam footage from the incident, in which Jones is seen -- at times -- cursing at the officer. "You are an absolute f---ing liar," Jones is heard and seen saying after the officer tells him he had seen Jones racing with a Cadillac. "You're f---ing with me for no reason." "You're f---ing picking this Corvette out for no reason and blaming me for s--- I didn't even do," Jones says to the officer." Jones will appear in court on April 5, and has said he will fight the citations.
TMZ recently caught up with UFC fighter and current 'Dancing With The Stars' contestant Paige VanZant, and asked her whether or not she would ever move up in weight to fight the one and only Ronda Rousey. Unfortunately, VanZant said she wouldn't. But her decision makes plenty of sense considering Rousey has 20 pounds on her and way more experience in the ring.
