New champ Miesha Tate took a trip down to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department to pay a visit to the officer that was on stage during her weigh-in for UFC 196. The officer had a wandering eye so the champ decided to get some payback. Tate made the officer re-enact the incident out in public.
Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones is in the news again and once again it comes on the heels of a run-in with the Albuquerque Police Department. Last week Jones driving a white Corvette was stopped by Albuquerque police and cited for drag racing having a modified exhaust having an illegible license plate being unable to maintain a traffic lane and exhibition driving. The stop was recorded by police via bodycam.
Jon Jones was arrested on Tuesday after receiving five tickets -- including one for drag racing -- on Monday.
UFC star Jon 'Bones' Jones was recently pulled over in Albuquerque, NM and subsequently given a number of tickets for drag racing, among other infractions. Albuquerque police released bodycam footage from the incident, in which Jones is seen -- at times -- cursing at the officer. "You are an absolute f---ing liar," Jones is heard and seen saying after the officer tells him he had seen Jones racing with a Cadillac. "You're f---ing with me for no reason." "You're f---ing picking this Corvette out for no reason and blaming me for s--- I didn't even do," Jones says to the officer." Jones will appear in court on April 5, and has said he will fight the citations.
TMZ recently caught up with UFC fighter and current 'Dancing With The Stars' contestant Paige VanZant, and asked her whether or not she would ever move up in weight to fight the one and only Ronda Rousey. Unfortunately, VanZant said she wouldn't. But her decision makes plenty of sense considering Rousey has 20 pounds on her and way more experience in the ring.

News broke last week that the UFC was in talks with featherweight champion Conor McGregor and No. 5 ranked lightweight Nate Diaz to face off in the main event of UFC 200.
