Cris ‘Cyborg‘ Santos has been calling out Ronda Rousey for years, but nothing has ever come of it because of the difference in weight between the two fighters. Now that Rousey is no longer the champion in the 135-pound bantamweight division, Cyborg sees her opportunity to finally make a fight happen as she took to Twitter to challenge Rousey to a fight at a catch weight of 140 pounds.
Remember when @RondaRousey said you have to come to the champ? How about we compromise. 140 super fight for the fans https://t.co/5VW8mnYDO0

This would assuredly be one of the most anticipated fights in UFC history, but Cyborg wants to make it even bigger. The state of New York signed a bill recently that makes MMA legal for the first time, and the UFC is looking at making a pay-per-view for November in Madison Square Garden. Rousey has expressed interest in fighting on that card, and Cyborg sees that as the perfect place for the two to finally meet.
Before any potential fight with Rousey is to happen, Cyborg is set to make her UFC debut on May 14 against Leslie Smith. If she wins that fight, expect the pressure for Rousey to accept Cyborg’s challenge to increase tenfold.
