UFC star Conor McGregor has had an interesting few weeks. First, he got into a disagreement with UFC president Dana White over promotional duties for his UFC 200 fight against Nate Diaz which got him pulled from the card. In addition, McGregor has been teasing a potential mega boxing match against Floyd Mayweather Jr. Now, a new report has emerged that is a little bit more serious in the scheme of things.

According to TMZ, McGregor hired two bodyguards named Rocky and Drago when he flew back to Ireland last week to accompany his longtime girlfriend Dee Devlin at a fashion event in Dublin. There apparently have been some threats made on his life and McGregor finds them credible enough that he hired the two guards to be by his side 24/7.

Hopefully this threat passes quickly. It seems like a serious situation.
