This is the first 3 round mock draft.  Our last mock draft was 2 rounds.  I’m keeping this mock draft at 3 rounds until the end of the NFL Regular Season.

Round 1

1. Washington Redskins Andrew Luck QB Stanford I have the Washington Redskins finishing with the worst record because they made no effort to obtain a franchise quarterback in this years NFL Draft.  A new regime should come in and draft a new signal caller.  Andrew Luck would have been a lock to go #1 overall had he declared in 2011 so Luck goes #1 overall in our 2012 NFL Mock Draft.

2. Miami Dolphins Matt Barkley QB USC Matt Barkley has that quick release that Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, and Aaron Rodgers have.  I think Matt Kalil and Tyron Smith had success in college because of Matt Barkley.  I really love Matt Barkley because he is a pro style quarterback and was the #1 overall recruit coming out of high school.  Matt Barkley is ineligible to play in a bowl game as long as he goes to USC.  People are given things when they go to the bowl games so I’m almost certain that Barkley declares in 2012.  Andrew Luck and Matt Barkley are so good that there both worthy of going 1 and 2 in the 2012 NFL Draft.

ESPN may rave about Andrew Luck and Matt Barkley the same way everyone raved about Peyton Manning in Ryan Leaf going 1 2.  Luck will be that guy who would have been a #1 lock had he declared the previous year and Matt Barkley will be the upstart quarterback challenging Luck for that #1 spot, but Matt Barkley won’t be a complete bust like Ryan Leaf.

3. Carolina Panthers Alshon Jeffery WR South Carolina Carolina gets a wide receiver who is a hometown prospect.  Not only is he a hometown player he is the most complete wide receiver in college football.  Jeffery is so good he may be able to save Cam Newton’s career.  Newton has a great chance of busting so they have to get Jeffery to keep Cam Newton from being an all time draft flop.

4. Arizona Cardinals Matt Kalil LT USC I seriously think Jonathan Martin is the best left tackle in this draft, but most people say Matt Kalil is the top left tackle because he played next to Tyron Smith this years top tackle in 2011 and because he is the little brother of Ryan Kalil.  I am not a huge Matt Kalil fan, but he probably will be the first left tackle drafted.

Previous Pick Jonathan Martin LT Stanford

5. Buffalo Bills Jonathan Martin LT Stanford Jonathan Martin is a top notch left tackle and will help protect the starting quarterback that comes into Buffalo.

If DJ Fluker of Alabama declares as a sophomore redshirt at left tackle he will be the pick here, but for now I’m going to say Fluker returns and Martin goes in the top 5.

I know the Bills have Ed Wang and Chris Hairston as bookend tackles, but neither is guaranteed to be a long term starter like Martin.  I think Buffalo takes Jonathan Martin with this pick.

Previous Pick Dre Kirkpatrick CB Alabama

6. Cincinnati Bengals Quinton Coples RE North Carolina Dontay Moch may be a pass rusher who plays across from Carlos Dunlap, but the Bengals are talking about moving him to strong side linebacker to challenge Michael Johnson for a roster spot at the left outside linebacker position.  If that’s the case then the Bengals will draft Quinton Coples with this pick.

I know the Bengals have Antwan Odom, but he hasn’t done anything to stand out this offseason plus he’s coming off an injury.

Coples was a starting left end two years ago at North Carolina, but became the Tar Heels right end when Robert Quinn was ruled ineligible to play.  Now Coples looks like a top 5 pick.  People said the same thing about Quinn before his suspension, but Coples should be a top 5 pick as long as he stays out of trouble.

Previous Pick Trent Richardson RB Alabama

7. Seattle Seahawks Dre Kirkpatrick CB Alabama Dre Kirkpatrick is 6 foot 3 215 pounds and can run a 40 time between 4.39 and 4.49.  Kirkpatrick displays elite coverage ability and is a hard hitter.  Kirkpatrick can be a run stuffer who tackles well.  I know Seattle will need a quarterback like Landry Jones if there drafting this high, but Dre Kirkpatrick’s value is too good to pass up on at this point.

Previous Pick Landry Jones QB Oklahoma

8. Oakland Raiders Robert Griffin QB Baylor Robert Griffin has a cannon arm, good zip, good release, accuracy, and can be a dual threat.  Griffin is this years Cam Newton.  He’s going to come out of no where and skyrocket up draft boards.  In the end I cannot see Griffin being a top 5 pick.  I think Griffin is going to creep up into the top 10 this season.  Griffin could run a 40 time between 4.29 and 4.59 at the 2012 or 2013 NFL Combine whenever he decides to come out.  Griffin was 6 foot 3 215 pounds last year and should be 6 foot 4 220 this season.  I could see Griffin being that pick that the Raiders target if there picking this high.

Baylor always has players who come out of no where and creep up draft boards.  Its happened every year since 2009.  It happened in 2010 when JD Walton was a 2nd round pick.

I can see the Oakland Raiders war room on draft like this before Al Davis crashes the party.

Hue Jackson: So we can either take Stephon Gilmore, Ricky Reiff, Justin Blackmon, or Michael Floyd at #8.

The scouts are in agreement on taking Gilmore, but then Al Davis invades the draft room running into the office like a little kid excited about their new Christmas present.

Al Davis: Robert Griffin is an extraordinary playa I must have him.

Hue Jackson: No were not drafting Robert Griffin we can get him in round 5.

Al Davis: Draft Robert Griffin or your fired.

Hue Jackson agrees to draft Robert Griffin.

Hue Jackson shakes his head nodding no in distraction thinking, Why did I take this job when I could have gone to Tennessee as a head coach?

Even if you hate this pick Raider fans you have to admit there are draft day shockers every year and this is the shocker that I am going to predict.

9. Jacksonville Jaguars Stephon Gilmore CB South Carolina There are 2 corners worthy of this #9 overall selection, but I gave the edge to Stephon Gilmore because he is a #1 corner who goes up against Alshon Jeffery in one on one coverages every day.

I also considered Jayron Hosley the Virginia Tech corner who could challenge Gilmore for this pick and I considered Donte Paige Moss, but Moss is a 4-3 left end that weighs 242 pounds.  He probably moves to 3-4 left outside linebacker in a 3-4 scheme.

Previous Pick Quinton Coples LE North Carolina

10. Indianapolis Colts Landry Jones QB Oklahoma Landry Jones will be a top 10 pick.  The other argument here is that the 2012 quarterback class is better than the 2011 quarterback class.  If 4 quarterbacks in the 2011 NFL Draft can go in the top 12 then 4 2012 quarterback prospects can go in the top 10 because the 2012 NFL Draft is much stronger at quarterback.

I know the Colts need help at wide receiver with Justin Blackmon, but Peyton Manning will be 36 before the 2012 NFL Draft.  If your the Colts, and you have a top 10 pick in this case you draft a quarterback to groom for the future.  I doubt 4 quarterbacks go in the top 10.  This is very unlikely to happen, but 4 quarterbacks in a weak quarterback class went in the top 12 so maybe 4 quarterbacks go in the top 10 who knows.

The only reason I have the Colts drafting at #10 is because there schedule is tough.  Plus teams who host Super Bowls never make the playoffs that year.  I said this with the Dallas Cowboys hoping people would take my opinion seriously.  The Cowboys missed the playoffs.  I know I sound crazy thinking this, but history does not bode well for teams hosting the Super Bowl.

The Colts play NFC South teams along with AFC North teams so if you look at 5 losses to the 3 NFC South powers along with potential losses to Pittsburgh or Baltimore.  6 if you count the fact that they play New England.  Indianapolis could be drafting in the top 10.  Its unlikely that the Colts draft this high, but I have them drafting here because of their tough schedule and because their division is getting stronger.

I think Landry Jones has bust written all over him because he plays in the spread offense, but going to Indianapolis and sitting behind Peyton Manning is the perfect scenario for Landry Jones.

Previous Pick Nick Foles QB Arizona

11. Denver Broncos Jerel Worthy DT Michigan State Defensive Tackle is the top need in Denver now that the Broncos ignored their glaring need at defensive tackle.

12. Minnesota Vikings Riley Reiff LT Iowa Reiff will be a top 2o pick if DJ Fluker returns and possibly a top 10 pick if he stays in school.  Since Fluker is a sophomore redshirt this is about the right range for Riley Reiff who reminds me a lot of Bulaga.  I like Reiff a lot better than Matt Kalil as an offensive tackle.  Reiff sat behind two offensive tackles in Bulaga and Kyle Calloway and really dominated at left tackle for Iowa this past season.

Previous Pick Matt Kalil LT USC

13. Philadelphia Eagles Jayron Hosley CB Virginia Tech Philadelphia still needs a corner to play across from Samuel.  Hosley had 9 interceptions and 10 if you count the interception he made in a Winter Scrimage Game against Andrew Luck and Stanford prior to the 2011 Discover Orange Bowl.

Hosley has a freakish 40 time and can record 10 interceptions, but he lacks the size at 5 foot 10 178 pounds and isn’t my ideal version of a coverage corner.  I smell bust with Hosley.

Previous Pick Riley Reiff LT Iowa

14. San Diego Chargers Justin Blackmon WR Oklahoma State Justin Blackmon would be a great #2 wide receiver option across from Vincent Jackson.  I saw one mock draft have Blackmon go #1 overall.  Blackmon is not the best wide receiver in this draft, but has done enough to solidify his status here.

15. Detroit Lions Vontaze Burflict MLB Arizona State Burflict has top 10 talent and since he’s the best available player at this point it is safe to say the Detroit Lions will draft him.

Previous Pick Stephon Gilmore CB South Carolina

16. Cleveland Browns Luke Kuechly MLB Boston College Kuechly had 158 tackles and is being considered as a top 20 talent.  I wanted to give the Browns another pass rusher, but the best pass rusher is Donte Paige Moss and he’s a 3-4 player at right outside linebacker.

Previous Pick Brandon Jennings RE Florida State

17. St. Louis Rams Trent Richardson RB Alabama Even though the Rams should upgrade their guards before drafting a running back the guards are top 25 picks at best.  Richardson is a top 20 pick so your getting good value by taking Trent Richardson with this pick.

Previous Pick Kelechi Osemele LG Iowa State

18. Chicago Bears Alphonzo Dennard CB Nebraska Chicago needs a #1 corner to keep #1 wide receivers like Greg Jennings, Percy Harvin, and Calvin Johnson in check.  They have corners, but no #1 corner along with 3 #1 wide receivers that they have to go up against.

Previous Pick Michael Floyd WR Notre Dame

19. Pittsburgh Steelers David DeCastro RG Stanford I really believe Ike Taylor will leave Pittsburgh.  If that happens Pittsburgh will miss the playoffs.  You win in the NFL with passing, pass blocking, pass rushing, pass defense shutdown corners, and pass catching receivers.  Pittsburgh arguably only has 3 of those 5 things in place and 4 when the offensive line is healthy.  Curtis Brown and Cortez Allen have bust written all over them there were an array of better corners to choose from like Brandon Burton, Chykie Brown, Jalil Brown.  I don’t think the Steelers will give up on these players and I don’t think they will give up on Stevenson Sylvester.

I really believe that this year may be the last year the Steelers have a winning record for a while because Starks has back injuries.  Gilbert is a right tackle at best plus the Pittsburgh Steelers failed to address any key needs in later rounds of the draft using later round picks on expandable players.  The only sleeper they obtained was an outside linebacker in Chris Carter which doesn’t help in the short term.  This was the one year where I could have out drafted Kevin Colbert if I were an NFL GM.  Pittsburgh had a golden chance to get younger as a team while remaining dominant for the next decade and they failed to cease that moment.  Unless the rookies step in and prove me wrong Pittsburgh is going to begin a slow rapid decline in the long term.

I can’t see either 2011 rookie succeeding if Ike Taylor leaves because Curtis Brown was a nickel corner and Cortez Allen played on Citadel.  Baltimore added more key players and Cleveland not only addressed all their draft needs, but they also have 2 first round picks in 2012.

For Pittsburgh furture needs include right guard, 3-4 middle linebacker, nose tackle, a left tackle, cornerback, a wide receiver to take pressure off Wallace, and a new elusive back to compliment Rashard Mendenhall are all needs for Pittsburgh down the road.

Plus one mock draft made a prediction that Ben Rothlisberger gets sent to federal prison in 2013.  I’d be a moron to buy into that, but  if that happens for some unlikley reason along with all the other long term needs that the Steelers have to address Pittsburgh may enter rebuilding mode.  I’m not doubting this team, but Pittsburgh wants to throw it more and they play a lot of pass first teams who will torch their secondary.

Throw in the offseason distractions in with Ben’s marriage, Rashard’s twitter comments, and Hines Ward winning Dancing With the Stars this could be a 9-7 team if you look at their schedule.  Pittsburgh probably should be 11-5 with a wild card spot, but its really hard to get back to the Super Bowl once you make it and lose.  Baltimore has a really easy schedule and they did well in the draft so I expect them to win this division.  Pittsburgh could win the division if Ike returns, but I’m favoring Baltimore based on the fact that they don’t have to play New England and Pittsburgh does.

Super Bowl losers struggle to regain their edge and usually regress the following year because the only place you can go is down from that point.

David DeCastro makes sense at right guard plus he looks much better in black and gold than Mike Pouncey.  DeCastro will fit in right next to Maurkice at right guard in Pittsburgh.

20. New England Patriots from New Orleans Saints Donte-Paige Moss     3-4 LOLB North Carolina New England needs a pass rusher and the value of Donte Paige Moss is too good to pass up on.

Previous Pick Jared Crick 3-4 RE Nebraska

21. San Francisco 49ers Cliff Harris CB Oregon San Francisco takes Cliff Harris and grooms him to be a #1 cornerback of the future.

Previous Pick Alphonzo Dennard CB Nebraska

22. Tennessee Titans Michael Brewster C Ohio State Michael Tennessee needs a center and Michael Brewster is the only center projected to go in the first round of the 2012 NFL Draft.

23. Dallas Cowboys Jared Crick 3-4 RE Nebraska Dallas failed to upgrade the 3-4 right end position.  The Cowboys need to draft a 3-4 end plus Jared Crick fits the bill.

Previous Pick Cliff Harris CB Oregon

24. New York Jets Baker Steinkuhler 3-4 LE Nebraska The Jets drafted 2 of their 3 long term starters at the 3-4 defensive line.  Now the Jets get that final starter up front.

25. Kansas City Chiefs Mike Adams LT Ohio State Bobbie Massie should return to school for his senior year since the 2013 NFL Draft is weak at offensive tackle.  DJ Fluker and one of the 4 offensive tackles Matt Kalil, Jonathan Martin, Ricky Rieff, and Bobbie Massie are all underclassmen meaning they can declare or return to school.  2013 is weak at offensive tackle and if Fluker declares along with the rest of these offensive lineman only 1 offensive tackle will be a first round pick.  Someone else besides Fluker has to return to school to make this draft stronger at offensive tackle.  Right now I’m thinking Bobbie Massie of Ole Miss is the safest bet to return to school.  Massie is 6 foot 6 312 pounds and could bulk up to 320 if he returns to Ole Miss for his senior campaign.  Adams should be the pick for the Chiefs.  Kansas City has no depth on the offensive line which is why this pick makes complete sense for Kansas City.

26. Cleveland Browns from Atlanta Falcons Brandon Jenkins RE Florida State Jennings had 13 sacks for Florida State last season.  He would be a great right end to pair up with Jabaal Sheard who could move over to left end.  Plus if you ever decide to switch to 3-4 you got two players in place who could adjust to the scheme.

27. Tampa Bay Buccaneers Chase Minnifield CB Virginia Tampa Bay will research the cornerbacks in this draft class on an extensive basis.

28. New England Patriots Kheeston Randall 3-4 RE Texas Kheeston Randall could become a starter as a 3-4 end down the road in New England.

29. Houston Texans Robert Lester FS Alabama The Texans have a strong safety in Bernard Pollard with a backup in Shilo Keo.  Glover Quinn will struggle at free safety so Houston drafts his replacement here.

Previous Pick Janzen Jackson FS Tennessee

30. New York Giants Kelechi Osmele LG Iowa State The New York Giants could address a long term answer at left guard.  Osmele has the talent to be a guard in round 1.

Previous Pick Mike Adams LT Ohio State

31. Baltimore Ravens Manti Teo 3-4 MLB Notre Dame Teo could be a steal in round 1 for the Ravens if he falls this far.

Previous Pick Nate Potter RT Boise State

32. Green Bay Packers Devin Taylor 3-4 ROLB South Carolina Devin Taylor or as I like to call him D.T. is 3-4 right outside linebacker who could play across from Clay Matthews.  D.T. racked up 7.5 sacks and 8 swatted passes in 2010.

Previous Pick Courtney Upshaw 3-4 ROLB Alabama

Round 2

33. Washington Redskins Jeff Fuller WR Texas A/M I know the Redskins drafted 3 wide receivers in 2011, but Hankerson is a good #2 option with a guy like Fuller being a potential #1 wide receiver who fills in for Santana Moss down the road.  Niles Paul can play slot with Aldrick Robinson being the #4 wide receiver that mainly plays special teams.

Previous Pick Billy Winn 3-4 LE Boise State

34. Miami Dolphins Michael Egnew TE Missouri Egnew is the top tight end in college football.  Charles Clay is a fullback at best from Tulsa.  Miami needs a playmaking tight end who can catch the football plus teams like adding offensive players around their quarterbacks.  Egnew provides good value in round 2.

35. Carolina Panthers Zach Brown LOLB North Carolina The Panthers need a sam linebacker to complete their front seven.  Why not take Zach Brown at the top of round 2?

36. Arizona Cardinals Nick Foles QB Arizona The Cardinals new regime will want a developmental quarterback behind Kevin Kolb in case they get him by trade.  Nick Foles has the upside and potential to be a good quarterback plus the risk is worth the reward on Nick Foles in round 2.

Previous Pick Kirk Cousins QB Michigan State

37. Buffalo Bills Kirk Cousins QB Michigan State Kirk Cousins has the arm to succeed in Buffalo.  Plus the Bills may have a new regime by then that wants a new quarterback.

Previous Pick Terrell Pryor QB Ohio State

38. Cincinnati Bengals Marcus Forston DT Miami FL Cincinnati had to draft a defensive tackle in 2011 and they didn’t.  I feel like Marcus Forston is the kind of player that the Bengals would draft.

39. Seattle Seahawks TJ McDonald SS USC Pete Carroll drafts a former USC player with this pick.

Previous Pick Mark Barron SS Alabama

40. New England Patriots from Oakland Raiders Mohammed Sanu WR Rutgers Wow Sanu is a deep threat wide receiver that New England should have obtained in this years draft and he fits in perfectly with Bill Belicheck’s scheme with his route running ability.

41. Jacksonville Jaguars Eddie Whitley FS Virginia Tech Jacksonville needs a free safety and Eddie Whitley provides good value in round 2.

42. Indianapolis Colts Ryan Broyles WR Oklahoma The Colts will draft the #1 wide receiver that Landry Jones threw to in Ryan Broyles because he is the best player available.

43. Denver Broncos Morris Claiborne CB LSU Denver considered drafting Patrick Peterson.  In 2012, they get his teammate Morris Claiborne.

Previous Pick Knile Davis RB Arkansas

44. Minnesota Vikings Travis Lewis ROLB Oklahoma Lewis provides such good value for a team picking at this point in round 2.

Previous Pick Kenny Tate FS Maryland

45. Philadelphia Eagles Levy Adcock RT Oklahoma State Philadelphia double dips at offensive tackle and positions themselves to make a Super Bowl run down the road.

46. San Diego Chargers Courtney Upshaw 3-4 ROLB Alabama San Diego gets a steal for a pass rusher in Courtney Upshaw.  He is one of the best pass rushers for Alabama at the jack linebacker position in the 3-4.  Upshaw talled 7 sacks for the Crimson Tide in 2010.

Previous Pick Devin Taylor 3-4 ROLB

47. Detroit Lions Tanner Dawkinson LT Kansas Detroit finally gets Matthew Stafford a blindside.  If he doesn’t work out at left tackle you can move him to a #3 tight end because he used to play tight end.

Previous Pick Travis Lewis ROLB Oklahoma

48. Cleveland Browns Michael Floyd WR Notre Dame Floyd has the size to be Colt McCoy’s #1 wide receiver in Cleveland plus he provides excellent value with the #48 overall pick.

Previous Pick Josh Oglesby RT Wisconsin

49. St. Louis Rams Kevin Zietler RG Wisconsin The Rams draft a right guard to make it easier for their running backs because the Rams lack a left guard or a right guard who can open up the running lanes while pass blocking effectively.

Previous Pick LaMichael James RB Oregon

50. Chicago Bears Knile Davis RB Arkansas Davis can be an effective running back.  Davis should be a late first round pick, but is well worth drafting as a rotational back if he falls this far.  Knile Davis rushed for 1,322 yards, 13 rushing touchdowns, and averaged 6.5 yards a carry.  So much for Ryan Mallet.  Mallet had an excellent supporting cast at Arkansas.

Previous Pick Brandon Bolden RB Ole Miss

51. Pittsburgh Steelers Donta Hightower 3-4 MLB Alabama Stevenson Sylvester is a special teams player at best plus Farrior is declining.  Pittsburgh drafts a 3-4 middle linebacker with this pick.

Donta Hightower is 6 foot 4 250 pounds and runs a 4.85 40.  He can be very effective for Pittsburgh and their 3-4 scheme which he plays at Alabama if he can stay healthy.

Previous Pick Matt Reynolds LT BYU

52. New Orleans Saints Ray Ray Armstrong SS Miami FL New Orleans drafts Ray Ray Armstrong as a strong safety.  He can play strong safety or cornerback.

Previous Pick Jacquies Smith LE Missouri

53. San Francisco 49ers Billy Winn 3-4 LE Boise State The 49ers need a 3-4 left end who can play across from Justin Smith.  Billy Winn of Boise State is a good pickup in round 2.  He can play the 5 technique or the 3 technique.

Previous Pick Chris Owusu WR Stanford

54. Tennessee Titans Andre Branch LE Clemson Branch can play on either side of the defensive line.  Tennessee should add Branch to their defensive line to play him next to Derrick Morgan at defensive end if they cannot retain Jason Babin.

55. Dallas Cowboys Casey Hayward CB Vanderbilt Hayward had 6 interceptions for Vanderbilt and really stepped up this year for the Boston Bruins.

Previous Pick Manti Te’o 3-4 MLB Notre Dame

56. New York Jets Brandon Lindsey 3-4 ROLB Pittsburgh The Jets draft Brandon Lindsey as a 3-4 right outside linebacker.

Previous Pick Vinny Curry 3-4 ROLB Marshall

57. Kansas City Chiefs Nate Potter RT Boise State Nate Potter is the best available right tackle at this point.  Kansas City has 5 players on their offensive line depth chart.  Kansas City needs to draft bookend tackles for depth.  Then they can get  a running back for depth in round 1 in 2013 to continue their system of running the football effectively.

Previous Pick Donta Hightower 3-4 MLB Alabama

58. Atlanta Falcons David Paulson TE Oregon Atlanta drafts a tight end in David Paulson that can be a successor to Tony Gonzalez.

Previous Pick Ryan Deehan TE Colorado

59. Tampa Bay Buccaneers LaMichael James RB Oregon Tampa Bay drafts LaMichael James as their #2 back to LeGarrette Blount.

60. New England Patriots Ryan Lindley QB San Diego State Lindley is 6 foot 4 215 pounds.  In case Bill Belicheck isn’t sold on Mallett he may bring in some competition.  Ryan Lindley of San Diego State was ranked as the #4 quarterback behind Luck, Barkley, and Landry Jones in one mock draft as a mid first rounder.  Maybe New England takes a chance on him because Brian Hoyer’s contract is up after this year.  I highly doubt New England retains Brian Hoyer since they drafted Mallett.

61. Houston Texans Dwight Jones WR North Carolina Houston needs a #2 wide receiver.  Dwight Jones could be the #2 wide receiver that Houston needs to compliment Andre Johnson.

62. New York Giants Chris Polk RB Washington I’m not high on Da Rel Scott.  Chris Polk is a player who could be a sleeper.  I think the Giants take a shot on Polk with a late 2nd round pick.

Previous Pick Bernard Pierce RB Temple

63. Baltimore Ravens Ricky Wagner RT Wisconsin Wagner can play right tackle or or left tackle.  Baltimore drafts Ricky Wagner and plugs him into the right tackle spot next to Michael Oher.

Previous Pick Nigel Bradham 3-4 MLB Florida State

64. Green Bay Packers Kendall Reyes 3-4 RE Connecticut With Cullen Jenkins gone and Johnny Jolly being arrested, Green Bay can draft Reyes and move Lawrence Guy to the 3-4 left end spot.

Previous Pick Greg Childs WR Arkansas

Round 3

65. Washington Redskins Elvis Fisher RT Missouri Elvis Fisher has been Blaine Gabbert’s blindside at Missouri the past few years.  I know Washington drafted Trent Williams in 2010, but he looks like a bust so far and Fisher could start out at right tackle and eventually take Trent’s job at left tackle if Trent does not improve over the next 2 years.  Elvis Fisher went up against Aldon Smith in one on one battles each day in one on one battlles.  Elvis Fisher is a player to watch out for on draft day.

66. Miami Dolphins Vinny Curry 3-4 LOLB Marshall Curry can compete with Koa Misi for the starting job at the 3-4 left outside linebacker spot.

67. Carolina Panthers Coby Fleener TE Stanford Coby Fleener will be an early day 2 pick and emerge because of Andrew Luck at Stanford.  Carolina needs a tight end.  Even if Shockey stays healthy the Panthers will still need someone for depth.

68. Arizona Cardinals William Vlachos C Alabama I think Matt Kalil will bust, but Arizona has no help on the interior offensive line besides him so its not fair to give up on him unless you draft an offensive line around him.  Arizona needs to build their interior line starting at center then left guard and right guard.  William Vlachos is a good pick in round 3.

69. Buffalo Bills Jerry Franklin 3-4 ROLB Arkansas Jerry Franklin is a to notch pass rusher who provides excellent value for the Buffalo Bills in round 3.

70. Cincinnati Bengals Cyrus Gray RB Texas A/M I believe the Bengals draft a running back at some point in 2012 who becomes the main rusher in Cincinnati.  The current Baylor back they have is not a long term answer.

71. Seattle Seahawks Greg Childs WR Arkansas Seattle drafts Greg Childs hoping he becomes a #1 wide receiver and saves Charlie Whitehurst’s career and Pete Carrol’s job.

72. Oakland Raiders Ryan Miller LG Colorado Oakland finally drafts a left guard with this pick in the 3rd round.

73. Jacksonville Jaguars Jullian Miller LE West Virginia Jacksonville drafts a defensive end that can play across from Aaron Kampman.

74. Indianapolis Colts Kenny Tate SS Maryland Tate can play free safety or strong safety.  Kenny Tate is a solid 3rd round pick if your the Indianapolis Colts.  Indianapolis never found a replacement for Bob Sanders in the 2011 NFL Draft.

75. Denver Broncos Tydreke Powell DT North Carolina Denver double dips at defensive tackle adding more depth to the defensive tackle position.

76. Minnesota Vikings Brandon Thompson DT Clemson Thompson can be used for depth.  Plus Minnesota may move Christian Ballard to defensive end so adding some depth does not hurt if your the Minnesota Vikings.

77. Philadelphia Eagles Ben Jones C Georgia The Philadelphia Eagles need a center for the future.  Ben Jones provides good value as a center for the Eagles in round 3.

78. San Diego Chargers Matt Reynolds RT BYU Reynolds can play right tackle or left tackle and would be a great pick for San Diego in round 3.

79. Detroit Lions Janoris Jenkins CB Northern Alabama The Lions need a cornerback and Janoris Jenkins is the best cornerback available.  The Lions showed their not afraid of drafting players with character issues.  They took Nick Fairley in 2011.

80. Cleveland Browns Donnie Fletcher CB Boston College The Cleveland Browns get another corner who could be a nickel corner and possibly challenge Buster Skryne for that #2 corner role.

81. St. Louis Rams Cordy Glenn LG Georgia The Rams get that second guard in this draft and get that guard to compliment Steven Jackson and Trent Richardson.

82. Chicago Bears Juron Criner WR Arizona Criner is a 6 foot 4 210 pound wide receiver.  The Chicago Bears need a true #1 wide receiver and Juron Criner could be that player.

83. Pittsburgh Steelers Alameda Ta amu NT Washington I’ve seen him go to Pittsburgh in mock drafts as a late first round pick.  Ta amu is a 6 foot 3 330 pound nose tackle who could rotate into the lineup behind Casey Hampton.  Ta amu could replace Hampton down the road.

84. New Orleans Saints Andrew Dalko RT Florida State If Charles Brown and Jonathan Stinchcomb struggle at offensive tackle New Orleans will need an offensive tackle who can start out at right tackle and possibly move to left tackle down the road.

85. San Francisco 49ers Trevor Olson LT Northern Illinois Olson should be a backup offensive tackle that was a three year starter at offensive tackle at Northern Illinois.  Olson would be a perfect backup to former MAC All American Joe Staley who has had injury issues at left tackle the last few years.

86. Tennessee Titans Tony Dye SS UCLA Dye could be a successor to Chris Hope down the road.  Myron Rolle was a good player at Florida State, but took a year off to go to Oxford before being drafted in 2010.    Tennessee needs someone for depth behind Hope and someone to challenge Myro Rolle for a roster spot down the road.

87. Dallas Cowboys Delano Howell SS Stanford Dallas needs to add a strong safety to their core of players.  Howell recorded 5 picks for Stanford last season.  Dallas needs an upgrade at strong safety.

88. New York Jets Devier Posey WR Ohio State Devier Posey is a good addition to a New York Jets team in round 3.  The New York Jets need to add another wide receiver with their array of free agents.

89. Kansas City Chiefs Trumaine Johnson FS Montana Kansas City could use a free safety to play next to Eric Berry.

90. Atlanta Falcons Coryell Judie CB Texas A/M Coryell Judie would be an adequate nickel corner in Atlanta.

91. Tampa Bay Buccaneers Nico Johnson LOLB Alabama Nico Johnson can play the strong side on the left side.  Not many teams have dire needs at left outside linebacker besides Tampa Bay so I gave the Buccaneers Nico Johnson with this pick.

92. New England Patriots Phillip Blake C Baylor New England drafts the Baylor center for depth.

93. Houston Texans Ryan Van Bergen 3-4 LE Michigan Houston drafts a 3-4 end for depth with this 3rd round.

94. New York Giants David Molk C Michigan New York needs some depth at center so this would be a good pick with this pick.

95. Baltimore Ravens Tank Carter 3-4 MLB TCU Baltimore will have to double dip at 3-4 middle linebacker so they can get a long term starter across from the player that will succeed Ray Lewis.  The Ravens need a starter across from Lewis and a player that will succeed him with their 3-4 scheme.

96. Green Bay Packers Stephen Good RG Oklahoma Green Bay can get a right guard like Stephen Good who should provide some more depth at right guard in case TJ Lang fails to make the transition from tackle to guard.
