 Top 5 Receiving Targets

Calvin Johnson WR Detroit Lions Leads NFL in receiving touchdowns considered top 2 fantasy receiver and the top receiver in the NFL with Andre Johnson out for 2 weeks.

Wes Welker WR New England Patriots Welker leads league in receptions

Jason Witten TE Dallas Cowboys Witten leads tight ends in receptions.  Witten is 2nd in NFL in receptions after Welker.

Rob Gronkowski TE New England Patriots Gronkowski is tied with Wes Welker for 5 receiving touchdowns.

Torrey Smith WR Baltimore Ravens Torrey Smith has averaged 25.5 yards per carry on 6 receptions.  The Ravens have yet to use Torrey Smith against the Steelers which is another dangerous factor to consider.

 Top 5 Run Blocking Units

Oakland Raiders 178.8 Rushing Yards Per Game Darren McFadden leads the NFL in rushing yards he averages 117 of those 178.8 rushing yards.  You can debate whether McFadden or the Raiders offensive line is the reason for McFadden’s success.

Philadelphia Eagles 163.5 Rushing Yards Per Game LeSean McCoy is 5th in rushing yards.  McCoy has averaged 90.75 rushing yards per game.  The Eagles pass blocking is horrible yet their run blocking is so good it practically attributes for the Eagles success.

Minnesota Vikings 157 Rushing Yards Per Game Peterson who ranks 3rd in rushing yards has averaged 94 of those 157 rushing yards.  Peterson is a beast for an NFL back so you can debate whether the Vikings run blocking or Peterson’s rushing is the reason for Minnesota’s success on the ground.

Houston Texans The Texans run blocking unit has averaged 148.5 rushing yards per game.

Buffalo Bills 137 rushing yards per game Fred Jackson accounts for 92.25 of those 137 rushing yards.  The Bills offensive line is ranked in the top 5 in pass blocking and run blocking.  That is clearly why they are balanced right now.  A team held Jackson to under 100 rushing yards for the first time all year and the Bills lost.

 Top 5 Run Defense Units

Dallas Cowboys 61.8 rushing yards allowed

Green Bay Packers 71 rushing yards allowed

Baltimore Ravens 72.5 rushing yards allowed
