Size: Andrew Jean Baptiste is 6 foot 2 205 pounds.
Learning Rate: I think Andrew Jean Baptiste can have a very quick transition to the MLS.
Soccer IQ: Andrew Jean Baptiste is very sharp. He plays to win showing tremendous leadership qualities. In one interview he pointed out how Connecticut goaltender Andre Blake is one of the leagues best goaltenders in college soccer.
Awareness: Andrew Jean Baptiste displays great awareness on both sides of the ball. Andrew probably has the best defensive awareness of any player in this Generation Adidas pool when watching the tape.

My Thoughts On Andrew Jean Baptiste
Andrew Jean Baptiste is incredibly talented at center back. Andrew Jean Baptiste has the ability to make an instant impact in the MLS with all of his defensive intangibles. I personally believe, that Baptiste may be more defensively molded than Duke defenseman Andrew Wenger. Wenger has the versatility and huge upside so Wenger should get picked higher. I would be open to taking Andrew Jean Baptiste before Wenger because Andrew is so defensively sound when you watch a defender showcase the fundamentals in soccer.
