Wanted NASCAR Sponsors
This tough economy is still challenging NASCAR and it’s teams. Four top cars and their respective teams have been parked due to a loss of sponsorship and there is talk that there may not be a sponsor for the iconic Richard Petty #43 car. This does not include the cars which have been starting races and parking because they do not have enough sponsorship to actually race. To say the economic conditions are hitting NASCAR pretty hard is putting it mildly.
Not too many years ago, if you were a corporation that wanted to advertise to the demographics of NASCAR there was no cars available, no matter what the cost. Your product was essentially shut out. Now is not the case. There are more opportunities to advertise in NASCAR now than there has been in years. These opportunities are not just sponsorship of cars, there are also many races that need sponsorship.
NASCAR just completed one of its most successful seasons in its entire lifetime. A season that saw 18 different winners, the most in a long time. A season that saw five first time winners, more than previous years. To top that, this past season had the closest Championship in history. With the competition level NASCAR currently has this trend will only continue. So attention corporate America, now is not the time to be cutting back. Now is the time to grab market share from your competitors that have cut back. Now is the time to bring your product to the attention of a loyal fan base. Now is the time for NASCAR.

Is it really the economy? Or, is it that the asking price for a Nascar sponsorship has outgrown its value?
Look at how inexpensive social media is, in relationship to its return on investment, than look at the millions the Nascar teams want. It no longer makes economic sense, regardless of the economy.
And the companies are getting smarter. Just buy enough sponsorship to do a ad campaign not the whole year.
The boom days are over folks.
It’s easy to see why there is a lack of sponsors. If you’re not the sponsor of one of about half a dozen cars, you will get no TV exposure. The rest are ignored unless they happen to have an accident with one of the chosen ones. They can get more exposure with a 30 second ad at a far cheaper cost.
I don’t think we just had one of the most successful race seasons. We did have the most manipulated races with a lot of questionable calls and a bunch of fake caution flags. NASCAR has almost become professional wrestling on wheels.
Exactly Ken!!
