Danica Patrick Is Guaranteed to Race at Darlington
A little more after two months since her first NASCAR Sprint Cup series start, Danica Patrick will race in the No.10 car at Darlington.
Patrick will be making her Sprint Cup return at the Lady in Black better known as the Darlington Raceway. She is guaranteed to race since the No.10 car is within the top 35 in the owner standings. Tommy Baldwin owns the car in a partnership with Stewart-Haas Racing.
Since her last Sprint Cup race at Daytona, David Reuitmann has driven the No.10 car and has maintained it at 33rd in the points.
Patrick’s only cup start was at Daytona for the Daytona 500 back in February. She finished 38th after being involved in an early wreck. The remaining races on Patrick’s 2012 Sprint Cup Schedule include Bristol, Atlanta, Chicago, Dover, Texas, and Phoenix.
Patrick will be doing double duty this weekend since she is also racing in Friday night’s Nationwide Series race.
