Sam Hornish Jr. will the lead the pack down to the green flag at the Glen.
Hornish won the pole after qualifying as the fastest in the Nationwide field on Saturday at Watkins Glen International. Hornish won the pole after posting a speed of 122.454 mph. Joining Hornish on the front row is Carl Edwards, who is makin ghi s return to the Nationwide Series this weekend. Closing out the top five were Paul Menard, Brad Keselowski, and Kyle Busch.
Busch qualified into the top five but made an engine change after Friday’s practice session, will have to start from the back of the field.
Last week’s winner at Iowa and current points leader Elliott Sadler qualified seventh. Sadler’s teammate and runner up in the standings, Austin Dillion qualified towards the back of the field in 30th.
Danica Patrick is making her first start at Watkins Glen and will start 23rd.
Rounding out the top ten at Watkins Glen are Joey Logano, Sadler, Justin Allgaier, Brian Scott, and Ricky Stenhouse Jr.
Four out of 47 cars entered did not qualify to race at the Glen. John Young, Ryan Ellis, Louis-Philippe Dumoulin, and Derek White field to make the field.
