The Kyle Busch Motorsports team had another great weekend at Kansas Speedway in the SFP 250. While they may not have grabbed the win they still all grabbed solid finishes except for owner and NASCAR Sprint Cup legend Kyle Busch.

Joey Coulter in the No. 18 Toyota truck was able to pull out a runner up finish to Matt Crafton the race winner. Coulter was a threat for the win and showed his chops on the track. Other Kyle Busch Motorsports driver Darrell Wallace Jr. finished in the top ten at 7th.

While the many young gun drivers in his racing team stable were able to pull out solid finishes at Kansas Speedway Kyle Busch was nowhere near so lucky. Busch spun out and would only be able to finish in 27th place by race end more than thirty laps down. After Busch spun, things got even more wild out on the track then before. The race seemed to be running on a yellow flag more often than a green one.

The Kyle Busch Motorsports team driver who was out of the picture for this week’s SFP 250 as boss Kyle Busch stepped into his No. 51 truck ride was Erik Jones. Jones, a former winner of the Snowball Derby in Pensacola, Florida, had a solid start to the season in his first two starts where he finished in the top ten both times. One thing is for clear the KBM team deserves watching and don’t be surprised to find these guys in Sprint Cup rides five years down the road.
