Several drivers faced adversity in 2014 and have a lot of questions to answer next season. Here's a list of drivers who have the most to prove next year.

Kasey Kahne just upped his contract at Hendrick Motor Sports and will undoubtedly face questions over whether or not it was warranted. Kahne wasn't bad in 2014, winning a race and making the second round of the chase; but not bad isn't good enough while driving for Hendrick. Jeff Gordon, Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Jimmie Johnson each won four races last year. Kahne needs to be closer to that total this season.

In all fairness, the entire Roush racing team lacked a lot of speed this season, but with veteran Carl Edwards leaving to go to Gibbs, even more will be put on Biffle's shoulders this season. He will be the unquestioned leader with youngsters Trevor Bayne and Ricky Stenhouse Jr. as his teammates. Biffle is winless since June 16, 2013 at Michigan.

Speaking of Edwards, he will face some pretty high expectations this year himself. After Kevin Harvick won a Sprint Cup title in his first year with a new team this season, the pressure may be even higher on Edwards. He is still in search of that elusive first championship.

Danica Patrick recorded three top-10 finishes in 2014, but after two full-time years at the wheel in a Sprint Cup Car, she needs to take a big step forward in 2015. Her teammates Harvick, Kurt Busch and Tony Stewart have plenty of championship experience to help her and her cars should be fast enough, as proven by Harvick this year.

It's all about the next step for Kyle Busch. His flashes of endless ability have been matched only by disastrous finishes and that inconsistency has separated him from his first Sprint Cup crown. The thinking here is that if he could just win the first one, Kyle may win multiple titles. Kyle is still only 29 years old, but with 10 full seasons under his belt, if that next step doesn't come soon it may never come at all.
