Milwaukee Bucks Need To Deal Brandon Jennings

Jennifer Stewart-USA TODAY Sports

Brandon Jennings poured in 30 points versus the Portland Trail Blazers on Saturday night however, he is not the answer with the Milwaukee Bucks. Jennings has already ran a coach out of town and I don’t believe he has the makeup to be a franchise player in the NBA. He has caused his fair share of problems with the Bucks and with him being a restricted free agent this summer it’s time to let him walk.

Since being drafted in 2009 Jennings has been inconsistent at best. Although he can light up the stat sheet on any given night Jennings’ inability to produce night in and night out is discouraging. For instance, Jennings can explode for 30 on a Tuesday and then come right back on a Friday and put up a nine point effort. In my mind it would be different if Jennings averaged more than just 5.5 assists a night.

Jennings is a scorer, that is without doubt, however his inability to lead a team is not conducive to the Bucks winning championships. He has given them a few good seasons, but its time for a changing in the guard as Milwaukee is starving for team not individuals like Jennings to under perform.

Perhaps the most discouraging part of Jennings play is his low field-goal percentage which is below 40% throughout his years in the NBA. Granted, he has been blessed with the utmost talent with the Bucks however, Jennings has not done a great job shouldering the load.

The Bucks easily moved on from head coach Scott Skiles now I believe they can do the same thing with Jennings.
