The Los Angeles Clippers at Sacramento Kings game Wednesday night could be the last time the Kings play at home before moving to Seattle, and there is one player in particular the Sacramento fans should enjoy watching and savor the moment.
Isaiah Thomas is the player Kings fans will miss the most.
He’s only in his second year, but Thomas has played first-class basketball for the Sacramento fans. He’s the player the city could have adopted to be its No. 1 citizen because of how treasured he is on and off the court, and he’s also been producing, averaging 13.9 points, 2.0 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game. He’s had a solid season and in recent games, he’s been playing his best basketball of the year.
On Monday in a loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder, Thomas was 5-of-10 from the floor and 4-of-8 in 3-pointers for 16 points with four rebounds and two assists. The game fans won’t soon forget was Sunday against the Houston Rockets when he shot poorly, but was distributing the ball like a magician. He had 10 points but dished out 10 assists.
Thomas has been shooting well at 44.3 percent from the floor and 88.1 percent in free throws. He’s been the Kings player the fans can especially rely on to make the clutch shot. Thomas could have a long and healthy career with the franchise. Sacramento fans will regret not being about to keep the team, especially when it comes to following Isaiah Thomas’ performances.
