The Washington Wizards made a solid pick drafting defender Arsalan Kazemi. Kazemi comes to an already young Wizards team who are currently still rebuilding.

In Kazemi, the Wizards get a good defender to add to the front court. With the Wizards finding players to put around their current star John Wall, adding Kazemi is a great choice for this team. He will bring a toughness to the Wizards, and also a good rebounder as well. Kazemi isn’t known as a offensive player, but more for his defensive skills.

He has plenty of upside and will have a lot of time to develop his offensive skills. Playing alongside young talent like Wall and Bradley Beal, Kazemi is a player ready to make an impact right away. Player will feed off of his energy and mental toughness.

The Wizards also picked Otto Porter Jr. in the first round, and they are building a team that will be ready for the playoffs. In the next couple of seasons, the Wizards can find themselves with the seventh or eighth seed in the Eastern Conference. Getting players like Porter and Kazemi shows how committed the organization is to putting a good team on the floor.

Kazemi will make an impression right away as there is no other player on the Wizards that has that same toughness as him. He is just the right person to bring energy off the bench for the Wizards, and catching lobs from Wall will only help his offense improve more.

The Wizards had a good draft night and are on their way up.
