Recently saw the statements from Stephen A. Smith claiming that Carmelo Anthony Could flee New York one day for greener or warmer pastures. You know Mitch Kupchak is going to make an offer, but you never know where Anthony will go. He loves being the king of New York basketball, but he also longs for a championship.
Dear #Lakers Family: Letting you know I appreciate your messages to me good or bad – I hear you. Understand I cannot comment on them all. JB

Would the opportunity to play with Kobe Bryant be enough for Anthony to leave? They have enjoyed playing with each other in the Olympics so we will just have to see if that carries over. It certainly did for the trio in Miami, but ‘Melo and Kobe and just two different kinds of personalities.

Smith predicted the LeBron James destination before every one else so his opinion must be respected, but we will just have to see how this one shakes out. Something tells me Anthony will be hard pressed to leave New York, but another early playoff exit could change that thinking.
