Well, at least one ex-Phoenix Suns player is taking the Michael Beasley release pretty hard:

Either way, no one in Phoenix — Dudley is in Los Angeles — really cares up about the small forward leaving town. At just 24 years old Beasley has managed to play his way out of three cities in just five years. It’s hard to believe that the Miami Heat use a second-overall pick on this clown way back in the 2008 NBA Draft.
Apparently, the Suns saved upwards of $2 million by buying out Beasley, which is actually a pretty good bargain for a rebuilding Phoenix team. Oddly enough, this roster move comes less than two months prior to the start of the 2013-14 NBA season. Now, the Suns are put in a unique situation where they suddenly have more cap than they expected have at this time of the year.
As for Beasley’s future in the NBA? He will probably get picked up by a lower-level team like the Philadelphia 76ers just to get cut once again this time next year.
However, the smarter NBA teams will give this draft-day bust the Tim Tebow-treatment…also known as the cold shoulder. Beasley has been given prime-time opportunities from the beginning, yet he fails to put his troubled past behind him. Every facet of Beasley’s game has weakened as the years have gone bye — Beasley went from averaging 19.2 points per game in 2012 to a mere 10.2 points per game last year.
If Beasley was even a halfway decent rebounder then things would be entirely different, but this swingman is nothing more than a spotty scorer, which you can find on any playground in the United States.
