Bradley Beal, shooting guard for the Washington Wizards, deserves congratulations today for having his high school jersey retired which is high praise for Beal and probably a good time for his high school as well. Pretty quiet time for basketball news if you could not tell, but the Wizards have other good news today as well. Point guard John Wall (featured above) is also celebrating his birthday today, so shout out to him. Wall was kind enough to sign a hat of mine at a lockout game in DC, so he will forever have my gratitude for that. That is definitely a hat that I cherish.
Today was a special and emotional day for myself. My high school jersey was retired!! I am truly… http://t.co/UkAZxCANvL

Here is hoping that Wall stays safe on his birthday, and that Beal had a good time visiting his old high school. That is quite an honor, and a deserved one for Beal who has worked quite hard in the last few years to get where he is today. His jump shot is sometimes compared to Ray Allen’s shot so that lets you know how much work Beal has put into his it. Beal and Wall form an intriguing backcourt future for Washington, and here is hoping that one of their other teammates can step up next season as well. Playoffs are a completely reachable goal for this squad if they stay healthy.
