Lillard also recently predicted something around 54 wins for the Blazers next season, which would be more than enough to get to the playoffs, but cannot envision them getting that high. Could see about 48 or 49 wins and an eight seed in the playoffs, but a lot of that will be dependent on whether power forward LaMarcus Aldridge decides he wants to stay in Portland. His attitude will set the tone for the team from day one, and so keep an eye on how things go in preseason for the Blazers. As an All Star he needs to be the leader in the locker room and here is hoping that his teammates know that he is all in. If they don’t know whether he has their backs or not will be crucial as the team will have to face adversity at some point of the year.
Lillard is definitely part of the Blazers long term future though, and if McCollum can add in some fearless play then they could be cooking with one of the best backcourts in the Western conference.
