Truth is indeed stranger than fiction in many cases. For example, Los Angeles Lakers‘ PG Steve Nash has already hurt his back this preseason. Upon hearing that news initially, most fans probably assumed it was something he did during an exhibition or practice. Unfortunately, it’s far worse.
Lakers say Steve Nash hurt his back carrying bags today. Didn’t practice for third straight day. Unlikely to play Thursday vs. Utah.

Again, you just can’t make this stuff up.
You really have to feel for Nash, one of the greatest PGs the ever lace a pair of sneakers. The guy is trying his hardest to end his career on somewhat of a high note and go out on his terms, but his body is just not cooperating.
If Nash’s back is already out of whack from carrying heavy bags/luggage — how in the heck is he supposed to survive the grind of an 82-game season?
Here’s to hoping that he can somehow find a way. Because if anyone deserves a proper send-off, it’s Steve Nash.
