The fact that Kevin Durant is currently on the shelf with a broken foot is not helping to tame speculation about his future. Many fans have already connected the dots about the real MVP leaving the Oklahoma City Thunder following the conclusion of next season, and this down time is just adding fuel to the fire.
Some people believe/hope that he’ll pull a LeBron James and head home. One such person is ESPN reporter Britt McHenry, who tweeted to KD regarding the topic on Monday.
@BrittMcHenry just wait on it

As you can imagine, some people took this as a message that Durant is indeed looking to head home to the Washington DC area in 2016.
@AlexKennedyNBA thats actually a lie. She didnt ask me about that, she asked me about shootin a commercial back in my hometown. Get it right

The real MVP was apparently not in the mood for any shenanigans.
@TLinds13 I bet u wish u could delete your life and start over

Is this a new, more fiery KD? Or is he just sick of the speculation about him leaving the Thunder already? After all, we’re talking about something that can’t happen for almost another two years. Either way, be warned. If you ask him stupid questions or put words in his mouth, you will receive an e-slap.
