Unlike many NBA teams, Charles Barkley doesn’t need weeks (and/or months) to warm up at the start of a new season. We’re only about five games in, and Sir Charles is already in midseason form. Not only did he declare a hunger strike until the Lakers win a game (above), he also took some time on Thursday night to call out ‘other networks,’ which we can all read between the lines and gather that he’s referencing ESPN.
The overreaction Barkley is speaking of, is a big reason why many basketball fans stick to TNT and NBATV for their hoops coverage. As far as his hunger strike is concerned, he may be in for some serious weight loss. The Lakers are bad. Real, real, bad.
