Ray Allen has been spotted in Chicago this week. This has led to rumors of him getting ready to sign a deal with the Chicago Bulls. But according to his agent, Allen is not in the Windy City to ink an NBA contract.
Obviously, Allen is in Chicago on some type of business, given that he doesn’t live there. But it’s still way too soon to connect the dots to the Bulls.
You do have to believe that they’re on his short list of NBA teams. However, the safe bet is that he’ll wait until around the All-Star break to make his decision on playing this season.
The greatest three-point shooter of all time could end up playing alongside Derrick Rose before it’s all said and done, just don’t look for it to happen until 2015. If ever. It’s pretty clear that he’s in no hurry to pick a team. After 18 years in the NBA, he’s earned the right to take as long as he wants.
