Chicago Bulls Show Off Depth In Win Over Utah Jazz
The Chicago Bulls demonstrated once again why they are one of the deepest teams in the league on Monday night after a 97-95 nail-biter victory over the Utah Jazz.
They welcomed back Derrick Rose and Pau Gasol from their recent injuries, and they did not disappoint, combining for 41 points on 16-30 shooting from the field.
It is evident that the Bulls are a much different team with not just Rose on the floor, but Gasol too. Gasol and Joakim Noah might be the best passing big man duo in the NBA, but it is also Gasol’s length and ability to score around the rim that add a different dimension to this Bulls’ team.
So far this season, the Bulls have showed that they can win with and without their star players, thanks primarily to their depth with players like Taj Gibson, Nikola Mirotic, Aaron Brooks, and Doug McDermott coming off the bench to produce for the team.
The Bulls now move to 9-5 on the year and sit atop the Central Division. Considering that they have been molded as a defensive team over the last few years, it is extremely impressive to see just how fun and dangerous they have become on the offensive side of the floor this year. They are stacked at every position, and each player on their roster recognizes the importance of being a good defender first being this is what head coach Tom Thibodeau demands if they expect to play.
The Bulls are off to a great start so far and as long as they remain healthy going into the playoffs, they will be a contender to win the championship this season.
