The Cleveland Cavaliers won their third game in a row after defeating the Indiana Pacers 109-97.
After a difficult start to the season where they experienced growing pains, the Cavaliers have seemed to have found their groove. Of course, the team’s depth and post defense situation remains a concern, but as long as LeBron James, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love are clicking on all cylinders, they are definitely a force to be reckoned with.
The “Big Three” of Cleveland combined for 71 points while shooting a high percentage from the field. The Cavaliers have looked more comfortable lately in how they have executed head coach David Blatt’s high-octane offense, which is huge for overall team chemistry. The Cavaliers will be under a microscope for as long as James is on their roster, and it is important to go through initial struggles in order to toughen their resolve as they go through the season.
Now, it appears they have rounded a corner and are starting to find themselves and their identity as the quarter-mark of the season quickly approaches. While many people have been critical of the team early on, especially Blatt in his rookie season as a coach in the NBA, the Cavaliers will undoubtedly be a favorite to come out of the conference if they continue to grow together as a team.
It was ridiculous to expect perfection from the get-go, something that obviously did not happen, and the Cavaliers will probably go through a few more hardships during the season. However, they appear to be finally understanding each other and working together, and I do not think it will be long until they are at the top of the East given how much talent is on the team.
