In the shocking news of the day, the Detroit Pistons have waived Josh Smith.
The Pistons announce that they have waived Josh Smith. Wow.

Adjustments clearly need to be made by the Pistons, but I am sure not many people saw this one coming. Detroit currently has a 5-23 record. As for Smith, he is averaging 13.1 points, 4.7 assists and 7.2 rebounds per game.
Who knows what will come next from this organization, but it appears anything is possible at this point. For someone who once had so much promise, this is shocking news to say the least. At the time, Smith seemed like a relatively decent fit for the Pistons, but things have clearly gone south ever since his arrival.
Smith shouldn’t have a problem finding another team, but this is definitely an all-time low for the 29-year-old.
