Over the past couple of days we found out just how large Kyle Lowry‘s All-Star support is. Prime Minister Stephen Harper tweeted asking Canadian basketball fans to vote, Toronto Raptors head coach Dwane Casey gave his input and now the leader of the Liberal Party of Canada, Justin Trudeau, has tweeted his support. And now with less than 12 days left of voting, Raptors fans should show how much they support their unofficial captain.
Canadian basketball fans should get behind Kyle Lowry, who deserves to be an NBA All Star. #NBABALLOT #wethenorth @Klow7

Raptors coach Dwane Casey will “get in a physical fight” with coaches if they leave Kyle Lowry off the All-Star team: http://t.co/m3QEAIRJst

Lowry was one of the biggest All-Star snubs last season and definitely deserves to start in this year’s game. However, he currently sits fourth in voting polls trailing John Wall (1), Dwyane Wade (2) and Kyrie Irving (3), but I would not be surprised if he suddenly jumps up a couple of spots when the next voting poll is released.
If not enough votes are cast for the star point guard there is no question that he will be a part of the reserves. Nevertheless, if the coaches of the Eastern Conference suddenly get a mild case of amnesia and forget all the Lowry has done for the Raptors this season (averaging career high 21.5 PPG and 8.0 assists), coach Casey will not be the only one fighting coaches.
DeMar DeRozan was the sole All-Star from the Raptors squad last year, but due to injury early on in the season, Raptors fans shifted the majority of their attention to Lowry. Jonas Valanciunas and Lou Williams are also on the voting ballot, but they sit way too low to make it on the starting line up. Therefore, Lowry making it to the starting lineup will officially confirm the huge fanbase behind the Raptors and the increasing growth of the franchise.
