The Warriors and Hawks continue to be the class of the league. The Pistons are streaking and actually appear to enjoy playing basketball again. The 76ers have won two straight for the first time since last year. And the Western Conference continues to be a gauntlet, where three through eight are separated by four games. Here's how the entire league stacks up in this week's power rankings.

Now with 15 losses in a row, there appears to be no end in sight, even once Melo returns.

This team is the Western Conference version of the Knicks, with a slightly more optimistic future.

The Celtics have entered full-blown rebuild mode.

Swaggy P isn’t quite so swaggy anymore with 28 percent shooting in his last six games.

I still think they make a run at the No. 8 seed, but they need to learn how to win some close games.

The Magic should really be better than they are. I wonder if Jacque Vaughn makes it through the season.

There is reason to be optimistic in Utah despite their mounting losses. Rudy Gobert may just be the real deal.

This was a slightly more optimistic week than the few that preceded it, with wins over the Thunder and the Cavs.

At 9-1 in their last 10 games, this team has caught lightning in a bottle.

A tough road win against the Clippers ended their week. You never know which Heat team will show up. They could desperately use some help at the trade deadline.

18. Brooklyn Nets (16-22), Last Week: 17

Things are going so well that Mikhail Prokhorov is selling the team. That tells you all you really need to know.

The Cavs are reeling, and I’m not sure if the return of LeBron does much to save it at this point.

16. Denver Nuggets (17-20), Last Week: 18

They are riding a four-game winning streak, but that could very well be followed by a six-game losing streak. This team is confusing.

15. Oklahoma City Thunder (18-19), Last Week: 14

The Thunder better figure things out pretty quickly; they are running out of time.

They beat the Grizzlies and then turn around and lose to the Celtics. That’s who the Pelicans are at this point.

I keep waiting for this team to fall off, but it doesn’t look like that's going to happen.

Can anyone please tell me who the Clippers are? Their desire to bring in Austin Rivers to help out their wing situation should tell you all you need to know.

The Suns better figure out how to start beating good teams or their playoff dreams may soon become dim.

I’m cautiously optimistic the Spurs have started to figure things out, as winners of five or their last seven.

Don’t let their blowout loss to the Hawks worry you. This Wizards team is still good for the No. 3 seed.

At 4-6 in their last 10, this team needs to figure some things out pretty quickly. Might their home-heavy start of the season have given us false hope?

7. Chicago Bulls (26-13), Last Week: 4

It was a mixed bag this week for the Grizzlies, but they should be there at the end when push comes to shove in the Western Conference.

They have won four in a row, but it was against some of the weakest teams in the league. I’ll remain cautious until I see them beat the Thunder and Warriors this week.

4. Dallas Mavericks (26-12), Last Week: 6

If only this team could figure out how to play some defense, they’d almost be unbeatable.

Why more people aren’t talking about the Blazers I will never understand. They are extremely good.
