Apparently, Phoenix Suns owner Robert Sarver is not as stubborn as we thought. After the Miami Heat astonishingly increased their offer for Suns guard Goran Dragic, someone knocked some sense into Sarver and agreed to accept the deal.

Of course, it is Justin Hamilton shipped out of Miami — not Jordan.

As much as Phoenix wanted to believe Dragic was going to be the second coming of Steve Nash, the reality is not ensuring his happiness cost the organization dearly. After stating he did not trust Phoenix’s front office, it was quite clear a demand to be traded was on the horizon.
Dragic did not like how the Suns have given him far too many promises that they have broken over the years. It also has not helped that he has been forced to share backcourt time with Eric Bledsoe and Isaiah Thomas. He was not allowed to flourish the way he knows he can, which is why he wanted to play for a team that will utilize his abilities to the fullest. Miami is a team that will allow him to do that, while competing for a championship down the road.
While the Suns will continue to build for the future, the Heat now has a reason to believe they can make a serious playoff push this season. The combination of Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, Hassan Whiteside, Luol Deng and Dragic has the potential to be devastating for opponents, assuming all five players play to their fullest ability. That is, if they can handle the fact that they just purged their bench.
Dragic is expected to re-sign a long-term deal this summer, which is one of the main reasons Miami agreed to the trade. The 28-year-old is averaging 16.2 points, 4.1 assists and 1.0 steals per game this season.
