The San Antonio Spurs have been engaged in costly, but fantastic battle against the Los Angeles Clippers in the opening round of the NBA playoffs, there is no better way to end it than with a Game 7 back in Hollywood.

The logical favorite in this case should be Los Angeles because they have home-court advantage and were 30-11 during the regular season. However, they are 1-2 during this first round against the Spurs. Frankly, there is no such thing as home-court between these two teams. The season series was split and they each won on the other’s court.

The Clippers are a much younger team with a bit more bounce, but that means little come playoff time. For an older team, a seven-game series would worry me, but the Spurs age like fine wine. The experience of the collective team, not just Tim Duncan, Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili, outweighs that of the entire Clippers organization. Nearly the entire roster has at least one ring and Greg Popovich is arguably a top-five coach.

When in doubt, savvy veterans will find a way to win. If San Antonio does pull off the game 7 victory, the lengthy first round may catch up with them down the stretch and sooner rather than later, but they’ll worry about getting there first.

Clippers' Chris Paul, DeAndre Jordan Execute Monstrous Alley-Oop

The Los Angeles Clippers made a huge statement on Thursday night by pulverizing the San Antonio Spurs by 19 points. Sure, the Spurs were without Kawhi Leonard, but that doesn't take away from what Doc Rivers' bunch accomplished. In the fourth quarter, Chris Paul and DeAndre Jordan hooked up for what can only be described as a monstrous alley-oop, which was the cherry on top of an all-around phenomenal showing.
