The jilted coach of the Oklahoma City Thunder might just sit out the entire 2015-16 NBA season if the right job doesn’t open up. Apparently, coaching either the New Orleans Pelicans and Denver Nuggets is not the right job for Scott Brooks.

Via RealGM and through Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports, Brooks has passed on the opportunity to interview with both Denver and New Orleans.

I totally get passing on Denver, but I’m not sure if I’d turn down the chance to develop Anthony Davis. Brooks may just want some time off to recalibrate, but there’s no doubt it wouldn’t behoove the former Thunder frontman to at least consider the opportunity of coaching a future NBA great.
