Golden State Warriors vs. Houston Rockets (Warriors lead series 2-0)
Game Time, TV: Saturday, May 23 – 8:30 PM ET on TNT
Projected Starting Lineups:
Golden State Warriors: PG: Stephen Curry, SG: Klay Thompson, SF: Harrison Barnes, PF: Draymond Green, C: Andrew Bogut
Houston Rockets: PG: Jason Terry, SG: James Harden, SF: Trevor Ariza, PF: Terrence Jones, C: Dwight Howard
The Houston Rockets will try to claw back into the Western Conference Finals when they take on the Golden State Warriors in Houston this evening.
The Rockets have remained surprisingly competitive in this series so far, losing Game 1 by just 4 points and Game 2 by just one after a costly James Harden turnover in the final seconds of the game. Both games were played in Golden State, where the Warriors have been virtually unbeatable all season long.
The Warriors are actually quite lucky to be ahead in this series right now, considering how they have let the Rockets come back in each game so far before finishing with a blaze of glory. They must not let the Rockets get off to a hot start tonight, and must hang on to the ball and not turn it over, because that always spells bad news given how good the Rockets are on the fast break.
The key match-up for this game will be Dwight Howard vs. Andrew Bogut. Howard was injured in Game 1 after having his knee rolled into by teammate Josh Smith, but played in Game 2 and will most likely suit up for Game 3. Bogut has played well in this series, but Howard must exert his will in the post this game if the Rockets want to win.
I have the Rockets winning this game. They have played the Warriors extremely well up to this point, and with their season on the line now, they will play their best ball tonight.
Prediction: Rockets 105, Warriors 99
