On Wednesday afternoon, the NBA unveiled four logos for next season’s 2016 NBA All-Star Game that will take place in the city of Toronto.
For the first time in the annual event’s existence, the NBA will hold the 2016 NBA All-Star Game outside of the United States next season. In anticipation of a game that will be played on Sunday, Feb. 14 of next year at the Air Canada Centre — home of the Toronto Raptors — the NBA unveiled the event’s primary logo along with three other secondary logos.

The primary logo for the 2016 All-Star Game will feature a silhouette of Toronto’s famous CN Tower — a signature of the city’s skyline. As for the secondary logos, one will be a modern version of the maple leaf that features an NBA star logo in its center. The other will be a ski hat — a popular accessory in Canada — that features a clawed star at the top, which is similar to the Raptors’ new team logo that features a clawed basketball.
Just like last year’s All-Star Game logos, the four logos for the 2016 All-Star game are great designs. For an event that is likely to unite an entire country, the NBA had to create designs that would embody the all of Canada — and they did just that. Not only will the four logos incorporate the Raptors’ red, black and white colors, but they will also represent the city of Toronto and the entire country of Canada.
