Free agency is in the air which means deals are going down left and right. This time around, the Dallas Mavericks are pursuing their target, Wesley Matthews.
Some rival execs beginning to operate under assumption LMA to Spurs is happening. Dallas considered frontrunner for Wes Matthews.

Danny Green is, of course, off the market now (staying with the San Antonio Spurs) and Dallas still needs a shooting guard. Matthews is coming off a season in which he put up rather solid numbers in the scoring department (15.9 PPG, to be exact). Unfortunately, he is also coming off an injury.
As stated previously, the Mavs are in need of a shooting guard since it appears Monta Ellis will be going elsewhere in free agency. If you are Dallas, this should create some smiles when considering Matthews’ status:
Word I hear is that Wes Matthews (@wessywes2) is ahead of schedule on his Achilles rehab and drawing interest from Toronto as well as Dallas

Meanwhile, LaMarcus Aldridge, DeMarcus Cousins and DeAndre Jordan are still hot topics. Even Dwyane Wade has received some offseason buzz, but it appears that he will keep his talents in Miami with the Heat.
Nevertheless, Mark Cuban & Co. are about to lock down their shooting guard, and that is a good move for everyone involved.
