It seemed like a possibility for a little while, but it was extremely hard to ever really believe Dwyane Wade would leave the Miami Heat this summer. Nothing is final, but it now looks like the inevitable is coming to fruition and the future Hall of Fame shooting guard will re-sign with the only team NBA team he’s ever played for.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports, the Heat and Wade are closing in on a multi-year deal.

Wade is nowhere close to the unstoppable force he was earlier in his career, but he’s still one of the best guards in the league when healthy and on the court. In 2014, Wade averaged 21.5 points and 4.8 assists per game, while shooting 47.0-percent from the field.
Wade is reportedly seeking a max contract after he recently opted out of his contract for the 2015-16 season, which would have paid $16.1 million. It’s hard to see the 33-year-old taking a pay cut, so expect the agreement to be for a max deal once it is completed.
